Foundation Year (Preparatory Year)

Entry requirements: Baccalaureate or equivalent high school/secondary school graduation qualifications.

Entry procedure: By appointment from the end of the month of November, an interview with a member of the school direction or a pedagogy director. For international students an interview by Skype is possible.

The candidat should speak about their experiences to date, their personality but also their personal project and possibly present some creative projects that could reinforce their candidature.

The Ecole Bleue gives, and has always given, a chance too all students who wish to learn the fundamentals of creativity. You do not need to have drawing skills to be a candidate. To integrate the school, you should have the equivalent of the Baccalaureate level and be 17 years old minimum .

Graduate program in Global Design

Year 1

Entry requirements: A one year Foundation Course in applied arts, design or technology, or equivalent.

Entry procedure: By appointment from the end of the month of January, an interview with a member of the school direction or a pedagogy director, after a Multiple Choice Question test of art and general knowledge. The student will present a portfolio of artistic work, with a maximum of different elements, notably sketchbooks and research. For international students an interview by Skype is possible. The candidat should speak about their experiences to date, their personality but also their personal project and possibly present some creative projects that could reinforce their candidature.

Year 2 & 3

Entry requirements: To have already completed a one or two year equivalent design course.

Entry procedure: By appointment from the end of the month of January, an interview with a member of the school direction or a pedagogy director, after a Multiple Choice Question test of art and general knowledge. The student will present their last school evaluations, a portfolio of artistic work, with a maximum of different elements: .

  • Interior Design projects (plans, elevations, sections, perspectives, photographs of models, research sketchbook).
  • Copy of diplomas obtained
  • Product Design Projects (research, concept sketches, drawings, perspectives, photographs of models or prototypes, research sketchbook, scale drawings)
  • Diverse drawings, paintings etc
  • An internship report, if available

Year 4 & 5

No transfer entry except in exceptional circumstances. (Please contact us)

Cultural and commercial scenography initial (Graduate) course

Year 1

Entry requirements: Baccalaureate (artistic) or equivalent high school/secondary school graduation qualifications. Or having completed a one year Foundation Course.

Entry procedure: Interview with a member of the school direction or a pedagogy director, presentation of an artistic portfolio, after a Multiple Choice Question test of art and general knowledge.

Entry procedure: Presentation of a portfolio of creative work. And with an interview with a member of the school direction or a pedagogy director.

Year 2

Entry requirements: A one year Foundation Course in applied arts, design or technology, or equivalent. Transfer entry possible on presentation of a portfolio of creative work, and with an interview with a member of the school direction or a pedagogy director.

For international students an interview by Skype is possible.

Year 3

No admission possible.

Cultural and commercial scenography specialisation (Post graduate) course

Entry procedure: Presentation of a portfolio of creative work, a motivation letter and CV. And with an interview with a member of the school direction or a pedagogy director.

Entry into the Post graduate specialisation in Cultural & Commercial Scenography, implies the mastery of spatial representation tools, visual & plastic expression (drawing, architecture, technique, photography, computer software ) and drawing skills for both conceptual and expressive communication, or by specific technical representation software.

Recognition

The Ecole Bleue is a private school of graduate Teaching, recognised by the CFAI the official association of French Interior Designers. Recognised by the Ministry of Culture & Communications (interior design/3D design) Certified level 1 (the highest level of recognition possible).
